“Compassion is a Verb”
-Thich Nhat Hanh

About Me

As a psychotherapist with more than two decades of experience, I excel at connecting with people and making them feel at ease. I'm known by my clients to be warm, engaged, humorous, direct and compassionate. I believe it is a privilege to sit with people who allow me to bear witness to their lives, stressors, and pain. I have great appreciation for the "and" that life often presents, and encourage clients to recognize and tolerate that we often experience conflicting emotions simultaneously.

I approach therapy as an interactive process and enjoy working with people to develop a plan that works best for them.My clinical orientation is eclectic with a focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Interpersonal Therapy.

I work with individual, adults on a variety of issues that include: depression, anxiety, interpersonal relationships, work or school stress, death or loss of a loved one, separation or divorce, undergoing a major life change (such as getting married, having a baby, moving or changing jobs, etc.), and trauma.

I also specialize in suicide prevention, intervention and postvention, and working with survivors of suicide loss. Loss of a loved one to suicide is a unique, overwhelming and at times isolating experience. I offer support, comfort and understanding as you traverse your grief.

I look forward to working with you!
